New Taipei City, Taiwan, May 24, 2022 – Vecow today introduces a brand-new Edge AI Computing System, the EAC-5000 Series. Powered by the NVIDIA® Jetson AGX Orin™ system on module, Vecow EAC-5000 Series provides high-performance computing and power efficiency in a small factor configuration. This system delivers trusted reliability and features multiple I/O interfaces, making it ideal for enterprise uses across a wide range of applications for In-Vehicle Computing, Robotic Control, Medical Imaging, Public Security, Smart Factory, AMR/AGV, and any AIoT/Industry 4.0.

NVIDIA Jetson™ is the leading AI-at-the-edge computing platform with over one million developers. The NVIDIA Jetson AGX Orin delivers 275 trillion operations per second (TOPS), over 8x the compute performance of its predecessor, Jetson AGX Xavier. Developers can jump-start their next-generation edge AI and robotics applications on the Jetson AGX Orin developer kit for seamless deployment on the full range of Orin-based production modules when available starting in July.

The Jetson AGX Orin system on module features an NVIDIA Ampere architecture GPU and 12-core Arm Cortex-A78AE 64-bit CPU, making the EAC-5000 Series ideal for AI applications that bring server-class performance to the edge. Supported by 8 GMSL2 automotive cameras via FAKRA-Z connections, 2 X-coded GigE LAN, the EAC-5000 Series provides must-have functions for vision-AI applications. Furthermore, It includes a variety of I/O interfaces like Digital Display, 5 USB 3.1 with 1 USB 3.1 Gen2, 2 SIM card sockets, 2 GigE LAN, 2 COM, 2 Isolated CAN-FD, 16-bit Isolated DIO and JetPack 5.0 software. For industrial-grade reliability, the EAC-5000 Series supports 9V to 50V wide range DC-in with smart power protection and a wide range operating temperature of -20°C to 70°C.

“Vecow EAC-5000 Series raises the bar for embedded computing applications with advanced AI performance, low power consumption in a small form factor design,” said Esther Han, Product Manager, Embedded Systems & Platform Division at Vecow. “By leveraging the power of the latest NVIDIA Jetson AGX Orin, Vecow EAC-5000 Series is well-suited for server-grade IoT applications to address needs for intensive-computing, flexible expansion and trusted reliability.”

“We are excited to expand our Edge AI Computing System portfolio with the NVIDIA Jetson AGX Orin series,” said Joseph Huang, Sales Manager, Sales & Marketing Division at Vecow. “With today’s demands for high-performance, small form factor and low power consumption on edge AI systems, the Vecow EAC-5000 provides distinct advantages for our customers with accelerated optimized AI performance needed for easy development and deployment of their AI-oriented applications for different scenarios. Vecow will be sampling the EAC-5000 Series to early access partners and customers in August, 2022. The product is scheduled for mass production in Oct. 2022.”

With the support of GMSL camera via rugged Fakra-Z connectors, -20°C to 70°C operation and 9V to 50V DC-in, the EAC-5000 Series is ideally suited for In-Vehicle Computing, Robotic Control, Medical Image, Public Security, Smart Factory, AMR/AGV, and any AIoT/Industry 4.0 applications.
